Orphan pet adoption

I started by making rescue and educational videos, and as my Youtube Channel is growing, this blog was much needed in order to gather updates on the rescued animals and information about the organizations and their work in one place. When giving our animals for adoption, we always follow up on their progress and stay in contact with the families, so there will be constant updates on this blog about the life of our dogs and cats in their new homes. Their ability to forgive and forget is unbelievable, and that is a fact. Rescued dogs and cats, even if they have gone through hell, can become amazing pets, happy and funny. I firmly believe in educating people, but in a fun and respectful way – that’s why you’ll find many fun or funny posts in this blog that try to tell things the way I see it – and maybe make my point clear. Our work includes spaying and neutering, rescuing and rehoming stray dogs and cats. It is estimated that there are about three million stray dogs and five million stray cats in Greece, and the organizations need all the help they can get. Some of the main charities I support or have supported in the past are SCARS, Save a Greek Stray, SPAZ, KAZ, Penny Marathon, ZEIL and Animal Action. Both this blog and my Youtube channel are mainly about Greek rescue stories. I am Valia Orfanidou, and I volunteer in various rescue organizations and shelters in Greece. Whether it’s a stray, a mistreated, a malnourished, an abused an abandoned or a neglected one, it’s the same. About the OrphanPet? Well, an orphan is any pet that doesn’t get to live the life it deserves.
